Skin Treatments

Cosmetic Surgery

The ageing process, coupled with lifestyle choices and sun exposure can often take its toll on the skin, causing muscle and elasticity depletion. The effects of this can create folds in the skin, which can often make the skin look dull and lifeless. However, there are several treatments that can delay the effects of ageing, resulting in a fresh and rejuvenated appearance.

Botox® – Botulin Toxin Therapy

Dynamic lines and wrinkles are caused by contractions of the delicate underlying muscles every time we smile, laugh or frown. The more emotion we show the deeper these lines and wrinkles are likely to be. Over the years however, constant and even sustained contraction of these muscles, may lead to more permanent lines and creases developing. While we may have earned every one of our worry or laughter lines, the prospect of these permanent creases in the skin may not appeal to everyone. With the advent of an approved drug, dynamic lines can be dramatically softened. The treatment, which uses a purified toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum (Botox), is also termed cosmetic denervation.

Botulinum toxin has been used very safely and successfully since 1982 by ophthalmologists to treat nervous twitching of the eyelid and lazy eye.

Photofacial – IPL Therapy

Photofacial, or IPL Therapy, is a non-invasive skin health and restoration treatment that can reduce some of the damage inflicted on your skin from sun, aging and biological factors as well as conditions such as Rosacea. The technology supplies a broad spectrum of light which reaches deep down within the skin, targeting pigment and vascular imperfections. It treats skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence, no “down time”. The goals of therapy are a more even skin colour and texture.

The IPL can not only treat the imperfections on the face but also the neck, chest and hands.

Skin Accent Treatment

Skin Accent Treatment is a new, revolutionary procedure to tone and tighten your skin. Using controlled heat therapy, the treatment uses non-invasive radio frequency(RF) energy to give you a smoother and refreshed look. The radio frequency energy causes the water molecules in your tissues to vibrate, creating heat and friction deep in the skin and fatty areas. Subsequently, the heat response realigns and regenerates collagen in your skin to replace it with a more youthful appearance.

Hydrafacial Treatment

The HydraFacial treatment is an effective procedure for removing dead skin cells, whilst moisturising the skin to leave it replenished, revitalised and free from imperfections. The treatment combines antioxidant serums with a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip to remove dead skin cells and impurities by cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising the skin deep into the pores. The procedure has been clinically formulated to improve the appearance of congested pores, uneven skin tones, fine lines and wrinkles - including acne prone skin.

Injectable Skin Fillers

Injectable Skin Fillers are instantly effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - or they can be used to enhance lips and cheeks. By improving elasticity, smoothing lines and imperfections, the treatment is ideal for restoring fullness in skin, which has been lost during the ageing process. Injectable Skin Fillers are usually a crystal clear gel made from non-animal hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the body. The effects of the treatment can be seen instantly and does not affect facial expression.

Micro-Needling

The Medical Micro-Needling treatment is a non-ablative skin treatment, which constitutes Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Meaning that the deeper parts of the skin are treated without removing the top layer of the skin. The procedure is ideal for treating fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring, and improve skin colour and texture. CIT acts like any other non-surgical skin tightening treatment, which aims to control injury underneath the skin surface.
